New 3D Characters at Walt Disney World

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Opens May 28 at

Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs announced that the “crowning jewel” of New Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, will officially open on May 28.  A special dedication ceremony was held today at Magic Kingdom Park, in which invited guests got a sneak peak at the new ride.

Imagineers Bring Full 3D Audio-Animatronics to Life

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Imagineers working on some of the most advanced Audio-Animatronics ever created!

Watch this video to see how they’re bringing them to life at the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction at Magic Kingdom Park.

Walt Disney would be proud to see his dreams coming alive in this new edition to WDW.

“Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is both literally and figuratively the centerpiece of New Fantasyland, so we knew it had to be something special,” Tom Staggs said. “The attraction appeals to everyone in the family and provides just the right blend of heart, humor, and thrill while keeping with the charm of this special land.”

We found this video on YouTube - you are on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train thanks to  Attractions Magazine:

The exterior portion of the train ride reminds us a lot of Big Thunder Mountain, but once inside, there is no comparison. According to Walt Disney Company, "the family-style coaster features an innovative new ride system that allows cars to swing back and forth as they travel down the track. The cars are even designed to reflect similar vehicles that appear in the film, handmade of wood by the Dwarfs, shaped by an axe, and used to haul rocks and jewels."

The attraction opens on May 28, so be sure to keep checking here and the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

Disney Dream Princesses

When You Wish Upon A Star
Your Dreams Come True

In this picture, Cinderella and Arielle look on as Beauty and Snow White enter the Disney Dream's atrium.   Could this really be happening or is this a dream?   You'll just have to take a cruise on Disney Dream to see for yourself.

Snow White
Little girls often want to become princesses and grow up to ride off into the sunset with their prince charming.   Even if they don't want to be princesses themselves, they would love to meet a princess.

On Disney Dream your little girl will be able to meet their favorite Disney princess and have their picture taken with them.   If they want, they can even dress up like a princess and make believe they have grown up and their dreams have come true. Watch as they faces light up with joy when they meet their favorite story-book characters.

Princesses aren't the only special guests you'll find on a Disney cruise...

For those of you who have been to Disney World or Disneyland, you may think for a minute that you are on Main Street when you walk aboard and enter the atrium.  The similarities are there.  Captain Mickey and his friends are there to meet you and welcome you to their ship.   The entire crew is there to make your stay magical.  Throughout the voyage there are special surprises including a Pirates in the Caribbean party and  fireworks.  There is truly something for everyone on a Disney cruise.

Disney Dream, which just began sailing in January, is the latest addition to the Disney family.   Here sister ship, Disney Fantasy, is currently under construction by Meyer Werft.

We'd like to thank our agent friend, Cheri Severino Diekhaus, who shared some of her images from her sailing last month, so that we can take you onboard the Disney Dream in our blog and FB posts.   Stay tuned for more information and pictures from Disney Dream.

Move It! Move It! DreamWorks Parade

Allure of the Seas - Move It! Move It!

Everyone likes a parade! Join all your DreamWorks movie friends on Allure of the Seas Royal Promenade for a parade like non other you've seen before on a ship.  Passengers line up all along the promenade for a look at the parade.   While there isn't a bad spot along the route, some spots have a slightly better vantage point, especially of the stages that are along the way.

The restaurants along the route are the first to fill up as passengers grab seats for the parade.  It is possible to move some of the stools and get a front row seat for the parade.   You'll want to line up for the parade at least 30 minutes in advance to find a good location.

The parade starts out with some overhead action, as a platform unfolds near the Cupcake Cupboard. When scouting out your viewing location, take the stages and overhead stages into consideration  so that you don't miss any of the entertainment.

The following video shows some of the action from the parade.   The costumes are very colorful and there's plenty of action to keep you interested.    More videos and photos can be found on our Facebook Fan Page.  Make sure to like us.
