Stay Safe While Traveling During Pandemic

Virtual Travel Guide

We’re back with a special edition of our Virtual Travel Guide.

This edition focuses on the updates to the health and safety protocols being implemented to help keep us safe while vacationing. We’re working closely with cruise lines, destinations and resorts to ensure you and your family are safe while on your next vacation.

The moment we have been waiting for - the resumption of travel (resorts, tours & cruises) has arrived.
CDC has just announced approval for the first cruise ship to sail in U.S. waters starting June 26th.  Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Edge gets the honor.

Your health and safety remains our number one priority which is why we have been attending webinars and special training so that we are in a position to provide you with the latest information.

Lets Get Traveling

#letsgettraveling

The Coronavirus Pandemic is not over by any means, but there appears to be a light at the end of the dark tunnel.  Air lines have increased flights based on demand, hotels, and resorts are opening back up and finally, the cruise lines have had some successful sailings.

This anchor post will be your one stop shop for information about the resumption of travel.  The CDC still is standing firm on their no-sail order from U.S. ports but the cruise lines have had more than 350,000 passengers sailing successfully from foreign ports since they began their gradual return to operations.

We are "Travel Safety Verified" which means you can count on us to help you answer the tough questions about your travel plans.   This is not the time for you to go it alone.  We are here to make sure you have the necessary health and safety information to plan your dream vacation.

Christmas 2020

M
erry Christmas

Holidays are about families, and what better example of a happy family then spending time together on a cruise ship.

Unfortunately, 2020 was not a year that would be possible.  However, with the promise of vaccines and improved treatments for COVID-19, we are hopeful that next holiday season it will be possible to sail the seven seas again during this time of year.

Holiday time is a great time to sail on a cruise ship.  Ships have festive decorations, usually starting early, so sailing before Christmas is also a special treat if you want to be home for Christmas.  You do need to plan in advance if you want to sail on the holiday itself as those cabins sell out quickly.

We've had several opportunities to sail during the holiday season.   We thought we'd share a few images from those journeys in this post.

Celebrity Edge

This giant Christmas tree stands in the atrium of Celebrity Edge.  Listen to music or enjoy a martini while watching this tree come to life with lights and music or listen to one of the other performances throughout the evening.

This isn't the only tree you'll find onboard the Edge.   Everywhere you turn there are some holiday decorations. They come in many sizes and shapes.

We hope that your Christmas tree is filled with many special gifts this year.   Perhaps one of them contains a gift certificate for a cruise or resort stay on Celebrity Cruise Line or any of our other travel partners.

Even if you didn't have a cruise vacation wrapped up in a box under your tree, there's still plenty of opportunity for you to surprise your family in the New Year with a trip that they will remember for years to come.

Make some memories in 2021 with your family and friends.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives this holiday season and throughout the year.  We hope that you've enjoyed our gift of stories and photos from our cruise and land trips.

We would be happy to help you plan for your next vacation.

Help I Want to Get Away

Open for Business

You've been held captive in your home for months now, and you need to get away.   Cruises aren't sailing, so where can you go?

One suggestion I have for you is Cancun.

Health & Safety First

Brennan Quesnele, Vice President of Sales from GOGO Vacations, is shown arriving at Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun.    Not only is this property open for business, but they have implemented all the necessary protocols for a safe and healthy vacation.

The process starts when you arrive at the resort.  A bell captain will spray your hands with sanitizer, check your temperature, and take your luggage for sanitation.  Next you'll sanitize your shows before proceeding to the check-in desk.  At the desk there's a Mask Detecting Thermal Skin Temperature Access Control Camera Panel which will show Green if you are wearing your mask properly and you don't have a temperature.

Nothing Says Vacation Like Flip Flops

He's all checked in and ready to check out his guest suite.  But first,  he gets a pair of flip flops.

When they arrived at his guest suite, the first thing he noticed is that there is a sanitation seal affixed to the door.   This confirms that the room has been sanitized and is ready for occupancy.

Learn more about their Peace of Mind Commitment and the steps they are taking throughout your stay.

Let's Go Inside His Guest Suite

This could be you.  Contact me and I'll check availability and make all the necessary arrangements for you.   Before you know it, you could be relaxing on the beach sipping a Coconut Lime Margarita.

Until then, check out the recipe and make one (or more) at home.
