Latest News Norwegian Bliss

Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line president and chief executive officer, unveiled Norwegian Bliss features at an exclusive event at Virtuoso Travel Week at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, where media and travel partners were able to Imagine Bliss through interactive 3D virtual reality experiences of the ship’s race track, Observation Lounge, The Waterfront, pool deck and a waterslide.
“Norwegian Bliss will no doubt be our most incredible ship to date,” said Stuart.
“We have elevated Norwegian Bliss’s onboard experience to new heights, bringing the best features from across our fleet plus exciting new first-at-sea activities like the largest race track and new dining concepts to create the ultimate cruising experience.”
At approximately 167,800 gross tons and accommodating 4,000 guests, Norwegian Bliss is currently being constructed at MEYER WERFT in Papenburg, Germany and is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2018.

Just when we thought we've seen it all on a cruise ship, Norwegian Cruise Line's designers took freestyle cruising to a new level with another first for a North American-based cruise ship with a two level electric-car race track. The competitive track, the longest at sea at nearly 1,000 feet, will rev up the hearts of all who race around her many twists and turns with four speed settings accommodating novice, intermediate and advanced drivers, reaching up to 30 miles per hour — with a special “turbo boost” available on each lap.

The electric cars run silent so as to not disturb those seeking to enjoy the serene environment. But guests will have the full racing experience while they channel their inner Andretti, as the sounds of a race car engine are piped in through speakers located in the car’s headrest.

Quantum Changes for Cruisers

PREPARE TO BE WOWEDSM

Royal Caribbean International® unveils a Quantum leap forward in cruising. With newly designed staterooms, innovative features, and transformative venues, Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Quantum of the Seas, elevates cruising to an entirely new level. Sailing Fall 2014 from the New York area.

Quantum of the Seas

Reasons Why You've Never Gone on a Cruise ...

I'd be bored on a cruise ...  There's nothing to do on a cruise ship ...  Cruising is for old people...

If those myths haven't already been shot down by other Royal Caribbean cruise ships such as the two largest ships at sea, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, certainly the latest ship, Quantum of the Seas will definitely knock a home run out of the park so to speak.

Complete This Sentence I would go on a cruise if I could ....

Take a ride over the ship in the NORTH STAR SM more than 300 feet above sea level.   Can you just imagine the view from that high up?   If that doesn't satisfy your urge to sore, then try sky-diving onboard the ship.  This new feature was inspired by the London Eye, but you don't need to go overseas to get a birds-eye view.

Fly like a bird ...

Have you ever wanted to experience the sensation of flying through the air, but didn't have the guts to step outside of a perfectly good airplane?

Well onboard Quantum of the Seas, you can satisfy your desires in this industry first sky-diving simulator at sea.

Enjoy some friendly competition ...

Maybe you'd like to step inside the rink for some bumper cars or roller skating, both industry firsts? Quantum of the Seas has all your favorites, that you've grown to love about the Royal Caribbean brand, plus so much more.

Hopefully we've peaked your interest in cruising a bit for those that haven't given cruising a try before. We're certain that experienced cruisers can't wait to experience what this new ship has to offer as well.
