Where is Chris - Dinosaur Day

Today is Dinosaur Day.  It occurs on several days this year.  There are many museums around the world that have remains of dinosaurs.   These are often a favorite creature for children.  I know my grandkids can name several different species.   Guess Where is Chris and then engage with your kids to explore the different kinds of dinosaurs that once roamed the earth. #KeepTheKidsEngaged

We hope you are enjoying this series of  "Where is Chris" posts.  We'd love your feedback on our social media.

Where is Chris - Fossil Fools Day

Today is the perfect day to  #KeepTheKidsEngaged.  They love dinosaurs.  I remember my grandsons being able to name them just by looking at them.  One of the main attractions at today's destination has a museum with an entire gallery devoted to this ancient time.  Can you guess where I am?

Journey Through Time

Auckland Museum Origins

Upon entering the Origins Gallery, you might think that you've entered "Jurasic Park" and rightly so as you are greeted by lifesized replica skeletons of the four-metre tall cryolophosaurus and malawisaurus along with a flying pteranodon soaring through the air above the gallery.

Origins tells the story of the beginnings of the land and the origins of its plants and animals.
Many rare and unusual prehistoric objects are displayed, including a huge tooth from the largest shark that ever lived.  If your kids are into dinosaurs, they will love this gallery.
